Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon

The transforming robots are back at it again, as revealed during the 2011 Super Bowl, with an action pack pre-view commercial. The third installment, Dark of the Moon, will be starring Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Tyrese Gibson. This time, the Autobots have discovered a Cybertronian spacecraft that is located on the moon. They are competing against the evil Decepticons to reach the spacecraft in order to unveil the secret powers that it possesses. In the midst of the Autobots and Deception's race to get to the spacecraft, they become involved in a dangerous space battle between the U.S. and Russia, and once again human Sam Witwicky come to the rescue and save his robot friends.

With the death of Megatron and The Fallen, there's a new villain in town. Shockwave is a longtime Transformers character who rules Cybertron while the Autobots and Decepticons battle it out on Earth. Despite most of the original cast returning for part-three, one of the films sexiest charters won't be.

"I'm mad Megan Fox isn't going to be in this one," freshman Alex Meyer said. "It's still going to be a great movie, but she was definitely one of the best aspects of the movie."

Another feature that fan of Transformers are looking for is its great action scenes and outstanding 3D effects. "I'm extra extra extra excited for the new transformers to come out," sophomore Brandon Rudolphe said. "It's one of my favorite movies. I want to see Shia LaBeouf kick some robot ass."

For others, it is all about seeing childhood cartoons and toys come to life.

"I absolutely love Transformers because it's so cool," freshman Anea Isom said. "It reminds me of when I was little and I use to have the toys and what them on TV, only now it has a more grown-up spin on it."

Transformers: Dark of the Moon is expected to hit theaters July 1, 2011 in RealD 3D and IMAX 3D.
